CLIENT: E*TRADE

CAMPAIGN: Opportunity Is Everywhere

AGENCY: R/GA

ROLE: Creative Director and Writer

MEDIA: Pre, mid and post roll; broadcast TV and video

AWARDS: Midas, 2 Gold and 3 Silver; Media and Copywriting

I developed, wrote and pitched this campaign starring Kevin Spacey and Robert Duvall. Working with the R/GA and production teams, I led the creative from a blank page through production and the final edit. The work earned praise in Adweek.

CLIENT: Xfinity

ROLE: Creative Director and Writer

The brief was simple to say and hard to pull off: deliver the deal twice and still make people laugh. Working with the team, I helped turn that repetition into part of the joke. It was a tough creative challenge, and I’m proud of how these two spots turned out.

CLIENT: Comcast

CAMPAIGN: All About You

AGENCY: DigitasLBi

ROLE: Creative Director and Writer

AWARDS: Mark Award, Gold; Best Multimedia Campaign

Two briefs: feature a celebrity and show that Xfinity gives everyone what they want. I brought them together with one question: who gets what they want more than a celebrity?

I developed, wrote and pitched the campaign, then led the creative through production and editing alongside the DigitasLBi and production teams.

CLIENT: Jameson

AGENCY: TBWA Chiat\Day

ROLE: Copywriter / Art Director

MEDIA: Experiential, television, outdoor and transit

AWARDS: Clio, Bronze; IAC, Best Rich Media

At TBWA Chiat\Day, I worked with an agency and client willing to take ideas beyond the brief. For a guerrilla installation, we projected an ad onto a wall while I wrote the copy live, turning it into a real conversation with people on the street.

I also pitched a Jameson television segment to the History Channel. They bought the idea, we shot it in Ireland, and it aired on How It’s Made.

For It Could Just Be the Taste, I contributed writing and direction to a campaign that became a familiar sight around the city through bus takeovers and outdoor placements.

AGENCY: DIGITAS

ROLE: Creative Director / Copywriter

CLIENT: Frontier

CAMPAIGN: The Personal Entertainment Advocate

AGENCY: Epsilon

ROLE: Creative Director / Writer

MEDIA: Television, social, digital, radio, print and direct mail

Frontier wanted a spokesperson campaign. At Epsilon, I created Will, the Personal Entertainment Advocate: a well meaning neighbor so focused on better entertainment that he occasionally misses everything else. Working with the team, I turned that character into a campaign that gave Frontier a distinctive voice and plenty of room for comedy.

CLIENT: MTV

CAMPAIGN: URGE

AGENCY: On Three

ROLE: Agency President / Creative Director / Art Director / Writer

MEDIA: Digital, print and outdoor

I pitched MTV’s URGE music download business through my own agency, On Three. Our team of three creatives went up against BBH and Goodby Silverstein & Partners and won.

As agency president and creative director, I also took on the art direction and writing. Together, we brought the campaign to life across digital, print and outdoor nationwide.

CLIENT: Marc Ecko

AGENCY: Avrett Free & Ginsberg

ROLE: Art Director / Designer

MEDIA: Print

I put my art director hat on for this one. Frustrated with the agency’s design direction, Marc invited one art director to work with him at his office, which doubled as a basketball court. That turned out to be me.

Over two weeks, I sat with Marc and designed these posters to help launch his fragrance. He was a lovely guy and a brilliant artist and painter. Getting to work that closely with him made the project a pleasure.
